SUPER SOIL CONDITIONER-  SSP

Tight, hard-packed soil may be a natural feature of an area or come from having a car parked on it. Often it is a result of extended use of synthetic fertilizers that contain harsh chemicals.  Whichever way you get it, the end result is poor water penetration and drainage, poor soil aeration and stunted root growth.  SSP is specially designed to quickly soften compacted soil.

Some products advertised to do the same job are only wetting agents that thin out water to make puddles drain faster.  SSP goes to work directly on the soil itself to improve flocculation and tilth.  Water not only has to penetrate into the soil, it also has to be able to rise back up by capillary action.  It is this upward movement of water that carries nutrients to the root systems.  Along with making vertical movement of water possible SSP does a good job of aerating the ground, making it possible for soil microbes to flourish.  This microbial activity is what allows nutrients and minerals to be taken up by roots.

Here are my thoughts after several years of managing over 2000 acres of turf with Humic Acid , Seaweed and Soil Conditioner.

Magic-Mix Humic Seaweed mixture is an important part of soil enrichment and plant stress relief. It plains out the bad areas in the turf by enriching the soil to give you a more solid turf look. It also creates more bacteria in the soil for the food for plant particles are used up. In other words, after you apply the Magic-Mix, fertilizing with granular fertilizer increases vigor and growth along with more color in the turf.

The Soil Conditioner helps break the soil up so the plant roots can drain and spread roots easier. Over time, your turf will thicken more from stronger roots and the need for pesticides will reduce. Magic-Mix and Soil Conditioner work good together for turf. Granule fertilizing is recommended a month after application, the Soil Conditioner can strip the soil of nutrients while it breaks up particles for soil enrichment. I highly recommend these two products at least two applications per year for turf management.
